Oh... another story... Hooray?
Seriously, GTA IV just isn't that good. It's a pretty decent game in it's own right, the story's sort of interesting and the gameplay mechanics are quite tidy but it just misses everything that made the GTA games so fun to play... ie. the fun stuff.
@die_fiend:
Yeah, ok mate, I'm jealous that I can't play a few extra hours of a game I got bored of months ago and will be even more bored of in 3 months time... However will I cope? I...
I think I actually have more games this gen than I did for the whole of last gen. And we're only 2 years in.
Exactly. The license agreements just haven't gone through yet. Simple as that.
I think what the issue is is that Nintendo are taking a very definite route into the casual gaming market and seem to be putting the hardcore on the back burner. They are definitely still catering for the hardcore but the focussed has shifted. Ninty are making an absolute bomb with this strategy, though, so I don't see them stopping any time soon. Which is fair enough, I suppose.
Also, in that little extract at the top there, it sounds like Sony and Nintendo are a pair of pervy o...
Now I know EXACTLY where you're coming from with that one.
And it's no problem, I don't see the point in slagging off strangers just because they disagree with me. There's enough of that round here without me joining in.
I think really it just needs getting used to. It is slow and the controls are awkward (in the beginning) but if once you get over that it is terrific. I don't really agree about there not being enough game modes, though. There are 7 modes at the moment which is a pretty healthy number.
I do think the whole konami ID thing is a bit daft but it's a one off thing and once you've set one up (which takes about 2 minutes) you never have to worry about it again.
The problem...
What didn't you enjoy about it?
"You're living in a dream world, Neo" XD
It means headshots aren't an instant kill, the head needs as much damage as the body for the kill.
I'm sure they'll do the right thing. Sony seem to just be ignoring the whole warranty thing right now and will replace your system regardless.
Oh and... "Daisy, daisy, give me your answer dooo"
It is nice. I'm really looking forward to this.
Anyway, this is just the press release that was released by Konami the other day.
It's being made available in the closed beta on the 20th. Still not ready for general release, I'm afraid.
I think he would rather shoot himself than do that... seriously.
Wow, that's my birthday! I know what I'm getting...
ANyway, I see no problem with how it's positioned. Yes, it does mean you're going to have to move your hand, but it's still one hell of a lot easier than balancing a keyboard on your lap. Also, I think the touchpad thing is going to be amazing.
Still, I don't suppose any of us know anything until we have tried it so quit your whining... I'm looking at you Jenzo...
@ Spydiggity:
I disagree. You're out of your mind if you think that.
He abandoned us. In our hour of need, we were there calling him to help but he just walked away...
Basically, he left recently and I was giving him a prod about it. :D
The only figures people are basing anything off is the few days at the end of October that the game was available in the US. It was the 3rd of Nov in Europe and I'm not sure about Japan. Lets wait until we get November's figures before we start jumping to conclusions, hey gamer.blorge?
Actually, when you chose Peer-to-peer, all that referred to was how you wanted to download the update. I'm with you though, MEME is going to be SWEET!
With the ability to see into the future, you moron!
It requires one at the moment so I assume they mean it no longer needs one. (A call to the server, that is.)
It meant that when the servers were moving slowly, undoing things took aaaages.
I think they have not written the details very clearly.
